My stay at Sundaras Resort & Spa was a mixed experience. While the friendly staff and prime location near the cave temple were definite highlights, the accommodations were unfortunately not reflective of what was advertised. The facilities showed signs of neglect, which detracted from an otherwise pleasant visit.

I stayed in a King Room with a Balcony and Pool View. the room had basic items missing, like soap and a kettle for tea. Even though it was cleaned daily, the overall condition felt dated and run-down.

Service was an absolute highlight. the staff went above and beyond, like waking up at 4 am to help with our plans for a hike. Their friendliness and willingness to share information about Sri Lanka made my stay more enjoyable.

I had a nice stay at Sundaras Resort & Spa, but it wasn’t without its drawbacks. The location is great, close to the cave temple and the staff was exceptionally friendly. However, the facilities could really use an upgrade, especially considering the price. Overall, I’d rate it as decent but not perfect.
